Method

To do this, they turned to Industrial-Organizational Psychologists who looked into the data. They looked at all 19 recent hires from the past 12 months and tracked their departure status, whether voluntary or involuntary. Comparing this with their initial assessment scores, a clear trend emerged.

Results

30% of the employees who scored in the bottom 50% voluntarily left the organization, compared to only 8.2% of the employees who scored in the top 50%. To put it simply 9 out of 10 employees who received high scores remained committed to the organization.
